Leave a legacy to Omogolo Wildlife Trust

As an ANBI we pay no inheritance tax. Everything you leave us goes to the projects we support.

Let us carry on what matters to you

Animals need our help. Many species are threatened with extinction and there is far too much animal suffering in this world.

The projects Omogolo Wildlife Trust supports play an important role in preventing this. They inform and educate people, prevent conflicts between humans and animals, give direct help to injured animals and help prevent poaching.

Gifts left to us in a will help build a better future for the animals and for the generations that come after us.

100% Your gift goes to the animals

Omogolo Wildlife Trust is registered as an ANBI, a public benefit organisation. This means we are exempt from paying tax on inheritances.

On top of that, we work unpaid and our board covers the administration costs.

So you can give to us knowing that every euro of your gift reaches the animals we work for.

How to leave a gift to Omogolo Wildlife Trust

  1. A bequest

With a bequest you leave us a fixed amount of money or specific goods. The rest of your estate is then divided among your heirs in the usual way.

  2. One of several heirs

You can name Omogolo Wildlife Trust in your will as one of your heirs. You decide which share of your estate goes to which heir.

  3. Sole heir

If you name us as your sole heir, your entire estate goes to the projects we support, taking any preferences you have into account.

Wording for your will

A Dutch will names us in Dutch. Give your notary this exact wording:

Stichting Omogolo Wildlife Trust, kantoorhoudend te Voorschoten, ingeschreven bij de Kamer van Koophandel onder nummer 6431 4731, ten behoeve van stichting Omogolo Wildlife Trust ofwel haar rechtsopvolger.

Why donors include us in their will

I have been involved in the work of Omogolo Wildlife Trust since it was founded. I value their commitment and the way they involve me as a donor in how the donations are spent. The absence of ‘other costs’ puts my mind at ease about how my legacy will be spent.

Name known to us

Omogolo Wildlife Trust caught my interest because they support a large number of often small-scale projects, with a policy that 100% of the donation goes to the chosen project. That is not the case at many large conservation organisations. Understandable perhaps, but I also found the results of those organisations far from convincing.

That is why I included Omogolo Wildlife Trust in my will. A big advantage is that I can always change how the money is distributed between the causes of my choice, without having to go to the notary. The notarial deed only states that Omogolo Wildlife Trust inherits an amount and should spend it according to the distribution list last sent by email. That saves a lot of costs if at some point you want to support a certain cause more, or less.
